While the photo shows an empire design, the bands around the middle fit more like a wide cumberbund from under my bust line down to my waist. This is not what I wanted. The neckline is a little too wide for me but I have narrow shoulders and fixing this is an easy alteration. But I'm not sure about how to fix the cumberbund.I will say that the seller was so good to help me with my measurements prior to ordering. After receiving the dress, I emailed them about the wide cumberbund, and they emailed right back and asked me to send them a pic of me wearing the dress so that they could advise and help on how to alter it. It is a beautiful dress, very well made with boning and a built in bra, and it basically fits well from the measurements I sent. The quality is very good. And I received it in about 4 weeks. (About one week before the date promised.) Again, they have been great to work with. The dress is quality. My disappointment is that it is not the empire style I was expecting. Let's see how the alterations go. No return because custom made. But I knew this on the front end.
